topic 2 : identifying competitive advantages

assalamualaikum sume bloggers,
hari ini saya xnak main cekgu2 dah..
sebabnya sume orang tidor mase saya ngajor.. (sedih)
today, i want to continue with my writing. it about that i have learned 2 weeks ago.
saya dah x ingat sangat tapi try la nak explain kan.. hehe


oh ye, selamat membaca guys..
mane tau korang bole amik note yang saya buat nie jadi note korang gak. ape2 pon share is caring right?


first of all, we identify what is the competitive advantages?


competitive advantages - product or services that an organization's customers place a greater value on that similar offerings from a competitors. which means bile ade ramai competitor yang mengeluarkan product yang sama pada customer for example; grocery


first- mover advantages - occurs when an organization can significantly impact its market share by being first to market with a competitive advantages
for example : orang pertama yang mengeluarkan product tu boleh letakkan harga yang tinggi kerana dia xde banyak persaingan.


besides that, company looks their competition through :
environmental scanning : the ways they analysis of event and trends in the environment external to an organization. macam mane competitor attract customer.


three common tools used in industry:
1. porter's five forces model
2. porter's three generic strategies
3. value chain


1. porter's five forces model consist of buyer power. buyer power tu customer punya kuasa la kan ?
ish nak tanya lagi plak kan? kuasa ape plak nie? ade kuasa macam ultraman ke? ish takotnye....

eh tentu la xde kene mengenakan ? hehe.. saje je buat eklan sket
buyer power tu the ability of buyers to directly impact the price they are willing to pay for an item.

tapi company still kene find the ways to reduce buyer power :
switcing costs - something that make customer reluctant to switch to another product
loyalty program - rewards to customer that always buy at their company ( discount card)








2. supplier power
the ability of suppliers' to give directly impact on the price that are charge for suppliers ( materials,labour)
supply chain memainkan peranan yang penting iaitu flow antara supplier, organization and consumer.


3. threat of substitute products or services
pegantian tinggi bile ade banyak alternatives untuk customer pilih (gula dan susu)
dan pegantian akan jadi low bile customer kekurangan pilihan


4. threat of new entrants
cabaran tinggi bile senang competitors untuk masuk industry
cabaran rendah bile competitors susah nak masuk industry
